Who am i really? What am i doing here?

My name is Chantal. I am born in Singapore. I live with my mother and two brothers. I have a boyfriend. I have a cat named Dustee. I am a swimming instructor. I never did well in my studies. I have four best friends. I am fit. Gym is my second home.

That's pretty much it, but who I really am depends on how I would like you to see it.

My name is Chantal Kristel Windley. I am born and raised in Singapore, a true Singaporean. I live with my wonderful mother and two amazingly annoying brothers. My handsome father lives in KL and my dads family is living in Stourbridge, England. I have an extremely lovely boyfriend who I will soon call my Husband. I have a cat named Dustee who is more like a dog to be honest. I am a swimming instructor and a teacher in their daily lives. I never did well in my studies but that's because I chose not to, not because i was dumb or stupid. I have four best friends, one lives in Switzerland, one is a guy who has been there for me for 5 years and counting, one I've had since 2008 and counting and last was found from my best friend(sound complicated, i know). I am fit because I worked hard to be. Gym is my second home <3

People judge, they judge from what they see with the first look. They don't know you until you let them. And therefore you try to make yourself look good on the outside too. Which is fine. but you should remember what you're doing it for and why.

Anyhoo, I am not here to talk only about me.

I'm here to help inspire you, YES YOU! You've already read this far, there must be a reason. And I'm going to tell you the exact reason why you are reading my blog. 

You want to change your lifestyle
You want to become fit
You want to get a better body
You want to have your DREAM body
You want people to look at you differently
You want to feel comfortable in your own skin
You want to change your life
and..
You want abs! haha.

And that's all fine!!! Its a good step that you are even here right now. So i would like to say, Congrats! Congrats for making this step, Congrats for thinking about it and Congrats for making a change.


A little more about my background...

I have always been sporty in a way. When I was in Secondary 1 & 2 (living in Malaysia) I did basketball, football, track & field and of course swimming. Swimming was always my forte. I was a state swimmer for Selangor for about 3 years (2004-2007). Then i moved back to Singapore and went to the Singapore Sports School for swimming and graduated in 2010. 

Ever since then, I had to exercise and keep up my fitness all by myself! And of course, I got super lazy most of the time as i had no discipline and no schedule for exercise. 

I was already working at that time as a swimming instructor (my first ever job. Still present). My boss is also a fitness freak so he kept pushing me in some ways but I was always too stubborn to listen to what he had to say. 

To be honest, it was my boss who motivated me the most in the past 3 years. He is like a father figure to me and so eventually I had to listen. Thank you (:

Basically since 2010 I was up and down with exercising, I would do it from time to time but never did it on a regular basis (I bet most of you here probably do the same, right?). Here's the thing, It does NOT work if you do it from time to time. Trust me, I know, and you know now too. If you want to exercise everyday for one week and stop for 2 months, you must as well do NOTHING! It would be the same, so why waste your time working out so hard for that one week? 

I will be here to help you through your fitness journey so don't worry, If you ever need tips and tricks on fat burning, muscle gaining, weight gain etc... I am going to try my VERY BEST to help you.


I will try to post once every 4 days. And I hope to be an inspiration to you guys out there (:
